Allen Ray Darbonne, Sr.

Opelousas - A Memorial Service will be held for, Mr. Allen Ray Darbonne, Sr., at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, in the First Baptist Church of Opelousas, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Perry Hubbs will conduct the service.

Mr. Darbonne, age 65, a resident of Youngsville, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering on his favorite football teams. Mr. Allen loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping; but most of all he treasured time spent with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kelly Chadwick Darbonne; son, Allen Ray Darbonne, Jr. (Kayla); daughter, Jessica Darbonne Thibodeaux (Michael); brother, Gregory Darbonne (Angela); sisters, Cynthia Darbonne (Ellen), Pamela Darbonne Dugas; brother-in-law, Patrick Lambert; grandchildren, Gentry Michael, Dade Micah and Arien Rebekkah Thibodeaux; niece and godchild, Ashley Guillory; nieces, Tara Saucier, Danielle Duplechin and Melinda Kay Vidrine.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Gladys Gaudet Darbonne; brother, Clyde Darbonne; sister, Patricia Ann Darbonne Lambert and nephew, Anthony Paul Darbonne, Sr.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Allen's name to a charity of your choice.
