On behalf of the Home Builders Association of West Florida, I am truly sorry for your loss. Today at our Board meeting, we remembered her and spoke about the trendsetter she was. Without her, the HBA would not be what it is today. She served as HBA President in 1965 and this association will never forget what a key role she played in establishing the Florida Home Builders Association and the HBA of West Florida. Her service to the home building industry is unmatched. May God be with you and your family during this difficult time.

Marcia, I was sad to hear about your mother. For many, many years, she was a wonderful friend to my mother (Mildred Lee/Aunt Millie) and I've always been grateful for the long-lasting love and affection they shared for each other. Mom always thought of 'Aunt Ouida' as one of her very best friends, and she so loved and admired you too. Many prayers today that all the sweet memories will give you and your family peace and comfort.

Marcia we extend our condolences to you and family. May God's grace and all of the fond memories help you during this time of grief. Ouida was a true southern lady in every sense of the word. My sister Mildred and Ouida's special friendship brought delight to our whole family because that friendship was extended to all. Although we were proud for her because of what she accomplished, she was still simply sweet, fun and kind Ouida to us. We will always be thankful for those memories. Sending lots of love your way, Marcia.
I have so many delightful and cherished memories of our early childhood together, which included your mother. She was an amazing woman; a trail-blazer with quite an astonishing and colorful life. I vividly remember being on the balcony one evening with my parents and your mom, and her singing and teaching us the song, "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend!" It was a fun time, and her voice was beautiful.
She did take good care of you, and the proof is in your life, and how well you cared for her during such a long illness.
May memories of the fruitful life she lived continue to strengthen you as you move into your next phase of living.

Marsha, So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. My mother loved her so much and has told us so many stories of the two of them growing up together. The highlight of their travels was their trip to Europe! It was the best time for all of them....and how they laughed and laughed! I think of you often and hope to keep in touch.
