Dave always had a smile when he would frequent the old LYT. He treated me with kindness and was a pleasure to serve. My heart goes out to the Sweeney family at this time.

David designed a cover for one of our books, a cover design that we have since used to describe what we do. He created other graphics that influenced how we thought abou our company. He was a joy to work with. --Buzz Reed for Klein Associates Division

Memories Eternal Evelyn:
David was one of our family also, and invited in because of his humor, conciliatory ways, and his insights. He ran with the pack but stood alone. We weep his loss but take joy in knowing his suffering is over. Few even knew he was that sick, because he didn?t talk much about it.
We pray for the departed Servant of God David and pray he will be forgiven every transgression both voluntary and involuntary. In a blessed falling asleep, grant O Lord, eternal rest unto him and make his memory eternal.
We know his memory is eternal because of his wife and children and grand children out to eternity. For us that knew him personally, we can say we are happy we had the pleasure. We morn for David?s brother and sister for their loss of so many in the last 18 months. ?He that dwells in the help of the Most High shall abide in the shelter of God in heaven? (Psalm 90). For those of us remaining we can say we will, through Gods mercy, see you on the other side. May God Bless you Evelyn.

Dear Sweeney Family,
My deepest sympathies... Dave Sweeney was the person who so patiently taught me long ago, the nuts and bolts of graphic design and production. He was a real mentor and our family loved him. I feel blessed that he was my teacher. Love to you all.

Dear Evelyn and Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Dave's passing. The world has lost a wonderful soul. I worked with Dave at Kodak for 11 years and I never met anyone there who didn't hold Dave in the highest regard. He was a terrific role model for "youngsters" like me. I always looked forward to working with him because he was always dependable, always professional, and always so much fun. I have many great memories of Dave and I cherish them all. I hope that you will find some comfort in knowing that many people are thinking of you now.

Oh, Dave, my boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and we must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
Sure, we'll be here in sunshine or in shadow.
Oh, Dave, my boy, we'll miss you so.
