Margaret WORRALL Obituary

Margaret Kitts Worrall Age 90 of Kennett Square, PA passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at Crosslands in Kennett Square. She was the widow of William H. Worrall, who passed away in 1975 and with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. Born in Godrich, CN, she was the daughter of J. Warren Kitts and Maude Cann Kitts. She graduated from Kennett High School in 1932 and attended Randolph-Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, VA and Goldey Business College in Wilmington, DE. From 1954-1976, Mrs. Worrall worked as bookkeeper at the Worrall & Kuzo Funeral Home. She served as interim mayor of Kennett Square for 1 term. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kennett Square, the Kennett Area Senior Center, and the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC. She was also a member of the Kennett Fire Co. No.1 and a charter member of their auxiliary. Mrs. Worrall enjoyed playing cards, reading and needlepoint, and she stayed up on current events. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Worrall was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Albert W. Kitts. Survivors include 3 daughters, Margaret Mallon of Richmond, VA, Susan Stanford of Leesburg, VA, Mary Rebecca Worrall of Downingtown; and son, William S. Worrall of Kennett Square. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Worrall's graveside service at 9 am on Saturday, January 10, 2004, in Union Cemetery, N. Union St., Kennett Square. Memorial contributions may be made to ARC of Chester County, 900 Lawrence Dr., West Chester, PA 19380. Arrangements are being handled by the KUZO & GOFUS FUNERAL HOME Kennett Square, PA "A Life Celebration Home"
