Michael A. Corbett, Sr. of Rehoboth Beach, DE, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Born in Port Chester, NY, he was the son of the late Philip and Maude (Steuber) Corbett.

He was a retired executive with AMICA Insurance Company in the New York metropolitan area. In addition, he was an adjunct professor of Finance at Queensborough Community College. A graduate of Leigh University, he also earned an MBA from Iona College. Mike served proudly in the United States Marine Corp and was Honorably Discharged in 1966.

Mike is survived by his wife of 48 years Mardee (Powell) Corbett; his daughter Sharon Corbett (Calvin Jaber) of Wilmington, DE; his sons Michael A. Corbett Jr. (Lillian) of Florham Park, NJ; and Brian P. Corbett (Lee) of Baltimore, MD; eight grandchildren: Amanda, Ian, Michael, Adam, Lily, Jack, Maggie, Patrick; one sister, Linda; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike and Mardee moved to Rehoboth Beach 14 years ago and joined Kings Creek Country Club. Mike was an avid golfer, boater and life-long New York Football Giants fan. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971 on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 2:00 PM. Friends may call on the family at the church at 1:30 PM.
