Kurt Kinder Obituary

Kurt Christopher Kinder

Kurt Christopher Kinder, born June 21, 1975, died January 11, 2018, following a sudden illness suffered on Christmas Eve of 2017.

Kurt Christopher Kinder, 42, of Burnet, TX, unexpectedly passed into eternal life on January 11, 2018 while living in Burnet, TX, with his father and his father's wife. His "too soon" departure to Heaven leaves a hole in the soul of those who loved him and are left behind. His friendly personality and charismatic smile brought joy to those who knew him best in his 42 short years on earth.

Kurt was born on the Summer Solstice and welcomed in summer every year to his beloved hometown, Thousand Oaks, California. He was a true California kid, loving every outdoor sport as well as the sun, surf, and sand. A true athlete, he performed the Iron Cross in gymnastics at the tender age of 5 years old and continued to love athletics as he grew up. Many days, he could be found surfing the California shoreline with his like-minded friends. He loved the movie and video game industries and, for a time, was a child actor. He loved animals like his Mother and never saw a dog or hurt wild bird that he wouldn't help or adopt. Kurt had a heart of gold.

A perpetual child at heart, Kurt prided himself on the creation of his annual Halloween haunted house for the local neighborhood children. He loved Star Wars and generously shared that passion with his niece and nephew, Tara and Jason. Kurt and his Mother, Annie Kinder, were an inseparable "dynamic duo" in all of these adventures and were the truest of family along with his sister, Typhanie Kinder, despite the curveballs life threw at them over the years. Adversity only made them stronger and his Mom, Annie, dedicated herself to Kurt for decades until her disability and death.

Kurt is survived by his sister, Typhanie Kinder, his brother-in-law, John Sylvera, and his beloved niece and nephew, Tara and Jason Sylvera. His devoted mother, Annie Kinder, preceded him in death by one year and welcomes Kurt home to her in Heaven to ease his suffering. His father also survives him. Kurt is sorely missed.

Kurt I can't believe I am reading that you are gone from this earth . We went to school together, Ascension Lutheran in Thousand Oaks. Although I was a few years younger , you were so kind and nice, so fun to be around. I wish I was able to see you again, maybe someday
Blessings Always Kurt
Sincerely , Katie

I have fond memories of hanging out with Kurt one summer, swimming at the pool, rollerblading around town and just having a great time. I look back and wish I could have spent more time with him. Kurt was always smiling and fun to be around.

I first watched "Hider in the House" several months ago and discovered Kurt as an actor. I wish I had discovered his work earlier. There is something special about him as both an actor and person that kept him on my mind after all this time. Today I randomly decided to look up his date of birth and if he and done other projects. I was dismayed to learn he passed away just a few years ago. I've been told I have an uncanny ability to hone in on special people who leave this Earth early.

God Bless,
Blaine B. ~California

Kurt, again it’s the anniversary of your passing. You are the best, taken too early, with a lifetime to still live ripped away. I know you and our Mother, Annie Kinder, look down from heaven and watch over me and my family every day. I miss and love you both and will see you again on the sunny side. Ty

Kurt, I still miss you and think of you all the time. Today, Christmas Eve, is the anniversary of the day (12/24/17) you were hurt by the evil that took you away from me. I will never ever forget. I know you are now safe again in Heaven with our true Mom, Annie Kinder, and she is always with you in the Eternal Life as she always was in the mortal one. I shall always love, remember, and miss you forever! Your only sister, Ty.

Kurt was the most loyal and kind friend that a person could ever ask for! I will never forget all of our surfing adventures, camping trips, endless fishing competitions (against each other), along with tennis matches that would last hours! I could never play basketball with Kurt because he was just way too good. At 5'10", and 180 pounds, he was the best pound-for-pound basketball player that I had ever witnessed live. Not to mention his long hair! He would catch many of his opponents off guard as to how well he played.
Ahhh, I am grateful to be shedding tears as I write this right now. I guess it is true that pain is a testament to the love that was had. I'll try to embrace this pain as an honor to my best high school friend. Kurt, all of your talents and kindness to the world will never be forgotten. I will always remember you.
Sending my love and condolences to your family.
Your friend,
Mike
