Mary Brumbaugh Obituary

Mary Weathersby Brumbaugh

Mary Weathersby Brumbaugh went home to be with the Lord February 14, 2021. She was born in Camilla GA December 21, 1944. She was the daughter of James Keaton and Hilda Weathersby. Mary was born into a large family and was blessed with 7 brothers and sisters she dearly loved. She is survived by her husband Don, two beloved children, three grandchildren, two brothers and her four best friends, her sisters.

Mary was gifted in many ways. She was beautiful with a kind and gentle spirit. She was a leader, a talented artist, and had an eye for beauty. Her love of reading and appreciation of the beauty around her never left her. Mary dearly loved children and they loved her. She came to know the Lord at an early age and grew in love and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Her love of the Bible was inspirational to all those who knew her. She never passed up an opportunity to share God's love with people in a humble way. She was never overbearing but always considerate of others' feelings. She was greatly Blessed by GOD.

Mary and her husband Don were married for over 48 years. As he had been a Navy pilot and later an airline pilot, she had the opportunity to travel to many places. She enjoyed the museums, art galleries, and majestic churches in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. She loved living on and vacationing on the beaches in Florida. Most of all, she enjoyed car trips around Texas with her family. She loved God and loved her family.

It seems only fitting for such a godly woman that she passed from this life on Valentines Day. For, GOD so loved Mary that He took her to her Eternal Heavenly home. She was a Blessing to all who knew her!

May the LORD bless you and keep you;

The LORD make his face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you,

The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you Peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Interment will be held at a later date at the DFW National Cemetery

Don & Mary: I just found out today of Mary's passing to be with her Lord and Savior. My heart and payers are with you. I was spending my afternoon reading notes I have kept from dear friends. Today I read a sweet note Mary sent to me dated January 19, 1998. We met at Hillcrest Church in Dallas, TX. She love Dare to Dream Children's Foundation which I started in 1987. She wanted me to visit her in on Salado Road in St. Augustine, Florida. She finished her note - "I love you always." Her note is a treasure to me. Jan Tennyson

You were the epitome of beauty and sweetness and grace. You had so much love to give. I'll always love you my Honey and I'll try to be your darling angel

Mary and my big sister, Marsha, were best friends growing up in Camilla. I was lucky that they allowed me to tag along. Our family loved Mary very much. She was always so much fun to be around and was always so kind and gracious. A true southern lady.

Mary was probably the closest thing to a saint that I knew in the 1980's when we had our children at Good Shepherd Episcopal School. She was truly beautiful in EVERY way. I am saddened that I lost track of her after the move to Argyle.
Blessings to you Don, your children, and family. According to those who keep up with you, you cared for her every need with love and compassion throughout her illness. What a gift that was and you should be commended for that. Mary now sits at the feet of Jesus where she surely feels at home as she was so filled with the Holy Spirit throughout her life on earth.

What a special photo of a beautiful wife...inside and out. Mary sounded like a Godly example to her family and friends and to everyone with whom she had contact. What a everlasting legacy to her family! May God comfort Don, his children and grandchildren and fill the hole in their hearts over time, as only He can do!
