June Moody Obituary

June Carrie Thompson Moody
Sept 17, 1940 ~ Aug 14, 2013
SALT LAKE CITY, UT-Our beloved mother and friend lost her battle with cancer peacefully on the morning of Aug 14.
She was born Sept 17, 1940 in Ephraim, Utah to Dale and Florence Thompson. She has one sister Rula Warren (Darrell) she loved her sister very much and they had a lot of great times together. She married F. LaMar Moody on June 16, 1962 in Ephraim, Utah. She spent many of her years serving in the RS in many different roles to help and serve others. She loved singing in any choir all of her life, and enjoyed leading the music in church. One of her happiest times in life is when she found out she was pregnant with her son Matthew (Jennifer), and then her daughter Melanie (Mike). Her children became the center of her life. And after many years together the family was sealed for Time and all Eternity in the Manti Temple. She had seven grandkids - Katelin, Ashlee, Tyler, Ethan, Connor, Aubree, and Mason.
June will be greatly missed but always with us, and is very grateful for the wonderful care she received from the CNS hospice care family.
Viewing will be held on Sunday Aug 18, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Aug 19, 2013 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The funeral will follow Monday Aug 19 at the Parley's 5th ward at 2615 E Stringham Ave (about 2280 S). Grave Dedication will follow at Elysian Garden Cemetery.

Matt is my best friend and I used to call June "Mom" everytime I'd come over to visit. She was such a great lady and took me and my wife in as family and often enjoyed Christmas and other birthday parties together with the Moody's. Our condolences are with your family at this difficult time. We loved June very much and were enriched for having known her.
