David K. Kirkpatrick

Irving, Texas Formerly of Des Moines - David Kenneth Kirkpatrick (ASA, MAAA, FLMI), resident of Irving, Texas, formerly of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on May 26, 2018 at the age of 68 years.

David was raised in Des Moines, where he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1968 and Iowa State University in 1972. He was employed as a computer analyst at Computer Sciences Corporation in Dallas, Texas. David was a hard and conscientious worker, a brilliant and sensitive man who fought injustice and tried to make the world a better place.

David will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially his four siblings: Larry (Carol) Kirkpatrick of Bellevue, Nebraska, Bonnie (Steve) Garman of Auburn Maine, Jean (Tom) Hollis of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania and Janice Kirkpatrick, of Des Moines and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom, Evelyn Todd Kirkpatrick and dad, Herman Howard Kirkpatrick.

Services will be held at Iles Westover Chapel, 6337 Hickman Road, Des Moines, on Thursday, June 7, 2018 beginning with visitation at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Herman Kirkpatrick Scholarship Fund. Online condolences are welcome at www.IlesCares.com.
