Josephine Sample Obituary
Des Moines
JoAnne Sample, 82, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church concluding with a 4 p.m. vigil service. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 15 at the church followed by burial at Berwick Cemetery.
Survivors include five daughters, Laureca (Don) Pettey, Shelia Armstrong, Ramona (Jeff) Brandt, Michelle (David) Munoz and Suzanne (Matt) George; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and brother, Leonard (Annie) DePhillips. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Armstrong, Sr.; her second husband, Richard "Sam" Sample; two children, Donald Armstrong, Jr. and Karla Rose Armstrong; granddaughter, Mandi Nyberg; parents, Frank and Jennie DePhillips; six brothers and one sister.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
