Mr. Ogg, I always felt like a stranger looking in on a tight-knit family, but you never made me feel that way. You saw right through people, excepted the grit and you shined watching others smile at your antics. Your hearty laugh and true loyalty carried righteousness without pompousness. I mourn deeply for the people that loved you. The glue that you were for so many and the breaking of so many due to losing you has been painful to behold. All I can say is thank you for seeing my musical inclinations and for everything you introduced me to in your maze of records. Thank you for being the person that you were. Rest easy.

Rob and I knew each other because our families know each other. We were friendly, but never close.
When we were kids we were embarrassed a time or two when the adults would have us stand back to back to see who was getting taller the fastest being close in age, I guess the grown ups thought of this as entertainment.
At least once or twice we were roped into babysitting the younger children together. His cousins, Jessica, Amanda, and Rebecca and his little brother Daniel. I recall that little Daniel had a nightmare and woke up and Rob was so calm and sweet with him. He told him to go back to sleep and that he would kick that monsters butt for him. And Daniel went back to sleep knowing that his big brother had his back and he had nothing to fear.
The short version is that Rob loved 5 things then, and as I have read what others have written about him, those 5 things remained prevalent in his life. Skate boarding, video games, music, art, and above all, family.
It is as if early in life someone slipped him the truth that the secret of life is to focus on what you love, and you will always have more of those things in your life.
Rob had a beautiful, kind, loving spirit. The world in certainly better because of the time he was here.
My heart goes out to his family and friends. He was way to young to be gone from this world so soon. May he always live on in the heart and minds of all that he touched in his life.

Rob was a truly unique, larger than life character. who was instantly likeable. He knew and experienced life and was smarter for it. He was just as quick w a joke as he was straightforward with his advice and opinions. He could mentor you without you even realizing it and did. Most-importantly, he was my friend.

Rob was like a son to me. When he saw me, there was that big Rob smile, Hello Mom, and one of the greatest hugs I've ever had.
