Burman Wright Obituary
Des Moines
Dr. Burman LeRoy Wright passed away Dec. 15 at age 91. He was born Aug. 19, 1925 in Bartlett, Iowa to Elizabeth Tritsch & Walter Wright.
In WWII, Burm served aboard the USS Howze. He graduated from ISU in veterinary medicine in 1952. On Oct. 25, 1953 he married JoAnn Breckenridge & moved to Lorimor IA.
Dr. Wright loved his practice, & his clients were good friends. He was Iowa's oldest working vet at his retirement in 2004. In 2007, Burm & Jodi moved to Scottish Rite Park in Des Moines.
Burm will be missed by many for his loving heart & deep laughter. A celebration of life will be held this spring in Lorimor, with plans to plant trees in his memory. Contributions to the Burman Wright Memorial Planting Project may be made at First National Bank in Creston.
He is survived by wife Jodi, sisters Flo & Phyllis, daughters Barbara Edwards (David) Ann Au (King), grandsons Samuel & Simon.
