I attended Frostburg from 1963-1967 and played basketball for four years and also earned my undergraduate degree in Health & Physical Education. Dr. Ron Van Ryswyk was the best teacher in the Department. He taught me how to listen and learn and I was able to earn my Master's and Doctorate degree from the University of Maryland. In 1970 I returned with my wife Judy and coached and taught at Frostburg for 32 years. I owe a lot to Coach Van Ryswyk. He was the most brilliant person I have ever known. Judy and I were able to visit with he and his wife Anne on his 80th birthday in 2010 in Des Moines and he showed us his "roots". We love you Coach. Rest in peace. Kurt & Judy Wolfe
