I love you dad! I still cannot believe you are gone. I keep thinking that I am going to wake up and all of this will be gone. It all happened so suddenly, I never expected you to leave me so soon. I love you daddy!! I miss you so very much! I love you with all of my heart, you know that!! And I will never forget you, or the moments we shared! I keep coming across photos of us together, and now I cherish them more than ever.. I know you and Martie are watching over me, and I promise to make you both proud <3

Dr. Charles and Faye. I was taken aback hearing about David. He was such a good friend to me when we both lived in B/CS. He treated me like a brother and was always there when I needed him. I would call him frequently and leave a message telling him I was thinking about him. I last saw him at Marty's funeral. I was worried about him then. But, I knew he could cope with it. I will always remember him.

Dear "Doc" and family. Always a shock to hear of the passing and loss of a friend. Though I haven't seen David in years, I'll always have great memories of camping with him, here and in Japan.

Dr. Charles, hope you remember Jim and I as dental patients. I saw you at Dr. Netherly's office not too long ago.
We saw the death of your son and wanted to express our sympathy for you all. Jim and I lost our daughter Leah to cancer at 49 and we can feel your pain. It is so hard but will ease with time. Thanks for being a great dentist. Jim and Bettie Johnson

I was shocked and saddened to see that a fellow classmate and friend, whom I have known practically forever, has passed away. I knew David and his parents for a very long time! His father and my father use to go hunting and fishing together for several decades, until my father's death in 2008. I remember one cute story about David, when back at Heights, we, and other students, used Mr. Van Meter's science room, as a makeshift study hall, and one day, when it was cold, David saw me wearing a lamb looking jacket, hat, and purse that matched, and he said,"You are my cute little lamb, one day, I am going to be a dentist, and you can be my assistant." I knew he was just talking, but, it was very sweet. David always had that gorgeous red hair I was jealous of, and he was always fun to know. My heart goes out to his parents Charles and Faye, and his wife and daughter. David is one person I will never ever forget and will always be on my mind and in my heart. Hope he looks up Dad and the rest of the "Great Outdoors Wild Bunch" in the sky, there were a lot of them. I know God and Jesus will have a special place for David. He will be terriblly missed but never forgotten.
