Ella
I was putting together a video for Scott's 30th birthday and came across some Doone Rd.pictures of Michael and Karen. I decided to check in on your whereabouts and was saddened to learn of Norm's death.

I remember Norm as a truly humble man who combined brilliance, caring, and hard work to the benefit of all whose lives were fortunate enough to come in contact with him.

I am very sorry for your loss.

The loss is a great one. It was comforting to know that Norm was available for counsel and straight talk at various junctures of my career.

I do carry a piece of Norm with me in my professional career, and I hope to impart a fraction of what he gave to students at all levels.

What a great teacher and researcher Norm was to me and all of his students. But most of all, what a terrific person and friend. Although many years have past since we last spoke, I have never forgotten his teachings, kind and funny ways, and his true love for interacting with his students. I will truly miss you Norm.

The students, alumni, and colleagues of the College of Pharmacy adored Norm Uretsky. He was kind, giving, warm and generous. One of the finest attributes of Dr. Uretsky was his ability to listen to you first and talk later. The university and the community have lost a wonderful, caring soul. May he rest in peace.

To Mrs. Uretsky and family,

We all will truely miss your husband, as a friend, an instructor, and as a unique human being who contributed more to the lives of others than he could have ever realized. I was always glad to talk to him after class and was glad that he had confidence in us to share his experience fighting the cancer.
My most heart felt sympathy goes out to you and your family during this sad time.

Dear Karen and family, I am so sorry to have learned this news, Karen. As you already sense, you will continue to see your father living on in your face, your mannerisms, your thoughts and even in your choices and actions -- sometimes in unexpected ways and often at unexpected times. His footprint and legacy is evidenced by so many people's warm and admiring comments, and I am sorry never to have met him. Shalom to you and your family.

Dear Ella and Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Dr. Uretsky. I know that it will be very hard on you and your family. Dr. Uretsky was a well known behavioral pharmacologist and a man of admirable qualities. He was a good mentor and a great human being who taught his students to never give up if they think that they are right. Dr Uretsky was a person who respected others and expressed his warmth, kind and caring nature filled with extraordinary humility to his students, colleagues, friends and family. He was a friend to most of us, therefore his departure from our midst pains us deeply. Please let me know if I can be a help with anything. May God bless you and your family during such a painful period. I understand that in the long run, there are many tears to be shed in mourning and smiles as we remember all the good times we had with Dr. Uretsky.

Sincerely,
Tahira Farooqui
