I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Kohn, but own one of his watercolors. I enjoy it very much! My condolences to your family. It sounds like you were a wonderful man...

Byron, you are the kindest man I know, and I learned this from Missy. If you were in another rooom and she heard your voice, all you had to do was to watch her tail. When you had been out-of-town and returned to the condo, she came running and would jump into your arms. The love between you and Missy, the stray California Rag Doll Cat you and Millie took in so many years ago, was so genuine and real. In the end and as ill as she was, when she heard your voice in the other room, her tail was showing her love for you.
I will never forget the oonversations we had. I'd ask the questions and you would give me the answers. Ernie and I thought the world of you and you will be missed by many who loved you.
Byron, you are a very kind man and kind men are very rare these days. I shall never forget you.

Byron,
I played "When The Saints Go Marchin' In" for you at Dublin's Scioto Park on Sunday. What a life you and Millie had together, since you met at Ohio University over sixty years ago.
Painting thousands of beautiful watercolors, owning sports cars, going to races, doing advertising for newspapers, directing the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts, summers in Maine, being friends with Emerson Burkhart, David Hostetler and Ben Hayes, being a Mason, a Navy veteran and owning Byron's Art Gallery. Pretty tall cotton for a country boy from Canal Fulton.
You lived. Thanks for letting me be your boy. With love,
