I really looked up to Mr. Maple. I always wanted him to teach me to watercolor paint. But due to my frequent illnesses, I was never fortunate enough to do that.

Dave blessed the Evan's Center with his talents. He graciously shared his warm personality while creating one of a kind masterpieces. In the Take an Artist to Lunch program offerings Dave painted a one-of-a-kind picture before their eyes. Then he donated the artwork to our center. He was a caring friend that left a legacy for us to cherish in our town center and in our hearts.

Your flame will never die. You live on in your students and your artwork. Thank you for always being there for Molly and caring about so much more than her art. You are and will always be her favorite mentor and friend. We all will miss you. Rest easy sweet, gentle Dave. We love you. Sally, you have our prayers and thoughts.

David was a masterful teacher who helped hundreds of people fulfill dreams of painting and providing for a lasting interest and joy in challenging themselves to be ever better. He had a true gift and could take someone who had never painted and instill a knowledge of the basics, give them time to develop skills and grow with his encouragement. He will be missed. May he rest in peace. Sally, we send our prayers and condolences.

David and Sally helped launch my gallery in 1983. An amazing artist - one of a kind. Great loss to all that knew him and to the art world. His talents were generously shared with many, and lives on forever.

I took several classes from David. He was such a kind, caring, gentle man, and I learned so much from him. I will miss seeing David at the Grove City Arts in the Alley. He always framed my pictures for me, and repaired some painting for me, re-stretching the canvas and re-framing. He did beautiful work. My heart is sad today for his family. I know who he was loved by them.

I'm going to miss him so much at the nursing home! I looked forward to seeing his smile every day I worked when I went in to get him up for the day! He was my buddy and I joked with him about being his favorite aide .. such a sweet man and I'm so sorry Sally for your loss! Much love and deepest sympathy
