Dear John, Jacquie,
Your son Johnny, was always loved and will be forever missed. He will remain eternally in our hearts and prayers. The world was a happier place with him in it. He had so much joy, love and laughter to give. He was making his mark and everyone was so proud of what he accomplished at such a young age. Johnny was very special, and unbelievably handsome. He had a gift like his dad and grandfather. He could talk to anyone, regardless of their age or background, and make them comfortable with what he believed in and was talking about. I'll never understand why God took you at such a young age. You had so much left to do and such an amazing life ahead of you. I just looked at the date on the computer and noticed today is your Grandma Zelma's birthday. I hope she is holding you close and rocking you in her arms in heaven right now. I will miss you for as long as I live. Aunt Mary, Peoria AZ

Johnny,
God Bless cousin...no words can really describe. Too soon, too sad, still numb... Even though we lived over 2000 miles away, you and Jimmy feel more like brothers to me than cousins.
You were such a light to all of us, especially your Dad. We will never heal. But we will always love you and be thankful for your bright years here on earth. Thank you for being with us your barely 23 years you were here. Save us a spot in Heaven.
We trust in our Lord Jesus Christ but ask you Jesus for your help in the midst of this horror and pain.
Kindly,

Cousin 08.2018

Johnny,
To hear of your passing is devastating. You were always full of life and passion for everything you involved yourself in. You were always the life of the party and people looked to you for advice and guidance in their own lives, including myself. The impression you left on this Earth was impactful and meaningful.
Deepest condolences,

Johnny, it's too hard to see your beautiful face and know I will never see it again. I have always lived in another state but I have memories of you from the day you were born. I was there at the hospital. We had so much fun that year in Cape Hatteras when your family and ours were together.
You guys came to our home in Pittsburgh once and stayed with us and you had so much fun with your cousins. I always knew what was going on in your life because we have such a close family. I'm so proud of what you accomplished while you were on this earth. I'm soo sorry you lost your life in it's prime and you had so much more living to do. Now especially your parents and Jimmy will have to forge ahead without you. It's going to be very difficult so please God, watch over John & Jacquie and Jimmy and the sisters while they grieve and give them healing and some way to be able to accept this and stay together. I love you, Johnny and will miss you every day.
It's obvious you gave a lot of joy to a lot of people; thank you for that. Aunt Cathy

It is difficult to write about Johnny in past tense. This difficulty may come in part from my own denial, but more accurately because Johnnys presence is not restricted to the past. He has permently etched a place in my own, and countless others hearts. Anyone who knew Johnny loved him and will continue to love him.
Every time I come back to visit Lewis Center the twins are a priority. I am always eager to give Johnny and his brother a huge hug and enjoy their company like we hadnt missed a beat. Without him, my life will never be the same. Its hard to even picture home without imagining Johnny.
I love you so much man.
Until we meet again.

Johnny Jingle Hiemerschmitt... is what I called him and he would bust out laughing every time I did. I never had a bad day at work if I had a chance to chat with him. Almost every conversation would include mentioning his family . What LOVE he had.. Proud of his sisters success, missing his Grandmother or how his Dad is there to help with his car or glad when he'd bring him sandwiches, then sharing them with Jimmy. Johnny worked harder than anyone at Menards. He took pride in his job and did it with a smile even on Freight Free Friday's.. He will be one to live in all of our hearts for a long long time.

I was so sorry to hear about your unexpected loss. I am still in shock myself. You have our very deepest sympathy.
Your son Johnny was such a lovely person and so active and vibrant, which makes it even harder to comprehend his death. I have so many fond memories of him playing over at our house, fun times at the Orange Township swimming pool, and watching him play Lacrosse and Basketball at Olentangy High School and coming to our Halloween parties. We will miss him dearly.
I want you to know that we share in your grief.
We are so sorry for your loss. We are sending lots of prayers and hugs to the entire family.
The Laubenthal Family,
Heidi, Marty, Hannah and Emilie
