Angelo Alaimo Obituary
Resident of Antioch
June 2, 1935 - July 1, 2018
Angelo L. Alaimo passed away peacefully In his home after a brief battle with kidney cancer. Angelo was born at home, in Pittsburg, CA. In his youth, he proudly served as an Altar boy at St. Peter Martyr, he was known as "Frog" to his friends, graduated in 1953 from Pittsburg High, met the love of his life in 1956, served in the Army Reserves leaving with an honorable discharge.
Angelo worked for Crown Zellerbach for 38 years, taking only one sick day! He loved Monterey, was a certified scuba diver, past member of the Delta Dolphin Dive Club, member of the Pittsburg Elks, where he cooked countless meals for many events. He enjoyed years of camping, traveling, road trips in the RV, and going on many cruises, his favorite being Alaska.
Angelo is survived by his daughters; Deborah Zwetz-Saraiva (Al), Doreen Monroe-Truesdale (Tim), grandchildren; Jay Zwetz, Matthew Jennings and Ryan Monroe, he is also survived by an ex-son-in-law Jim Zwetz who was always there to help with his yard work. He is preceded in death by his wife Corrine.
Services will be held on August 11th at 11:00 at the Holy Cross Rectory, 2200 E. 18th St., Antioch. A celebration of life luncheon to immediately follow at same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Angelo's name to Kaiser Hospice, 200 Muir Rd., Martinez, CA 94553. Their help and counseling was invaluable during our time of need. Angelo's sense of humor and generosity will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

I have been Angelo's insurance agent for 25 years. I have always enjoyed his company and our conversations. He was a good man and someone I will truly miss. My best wishes and deepest sympathy to his family and friends, we will miss you my friend.
