Judith Fligg Obituary

Judith Ann Fligg, 71, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to St. Luke's Hospice House or the National Kidney Foundation.

Judy was born June 28, 1943, in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of Dudley and Betty (Pulliam) Noell. She attended school in Harrisonville and graduated from Blue Springs High School. She was a key punch operator and bus driver before she and her husband, Bill Fligg, purchased Englewood Cleaners, where she became the Grain Valley manager. Judy loved horses, from the Shetland pony she had as a girl, to her pride and joy "Golden Boy," to her final Pepper. She was very proud of her thirty-year belt buckle from the trail ride at Eminence, Missouri, and the many friends she had there. But her most special times were spent with the loves of her life: her husband, her children and their spouses, and most importantly, her grandchildren of which she was extremely proud.

Judy was preceded in death by her father Dudley Noell; mother Betty Butler; sister Valeta (Skip) Baxter; and brother-in-law Doug Allen.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bill Fligg; son Brent (Julie) Fligg; daughters Dawn (Chad) Carnahan and Jaime (George) Sinn; six grandchildren: Autumn, Jacob, Tom, Ben, Colby, and Summer; sister Gloria Allen; brother Gene (Sheila) Noell; as well as many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends& relatives.

Arrangements: Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; 816-847-4441.

Mrs. Fligg and that "Bretty" son of hers came up in conversation between my best friend Debbie and me just a couple days ago as we were driving down a road that used to be part of our bus route. The memories of you 2 make us lol with every mention of ya.

Sorry I remembered your name incorrectly Brent. Guess Brett and Brent sound alike when your Mom was shoutin' ,"Brent sit down!" You and everyone near to your wonderful Mom are in my thoughts and prayers. She has come to my mind many many times over the years. Haven't seen her since 1982.

Will remember this fun bus driver forever. Not just a bus driver @ all. Made the ride to school a good memory for us rather than her having to get on to that one bratty Brett kid of hers all the time. Lol. A friend of mine (Debbie Pruitt) tells me of a time that she and another friend (Jennifer Ballenger) rolled the garden hose out to the road to spray her on the last day of school to find that she was prepared for it as if she knew one of us would pull somethin' like that. She had a fire men's suite on. We all loved Mrs. Fligg

Judy was such a delight to be around. I remember her dressing up as a Leprechaun and the time of my brothers first day of school and he didn't know where he lived and he rode the whole bus route
