David Fagan Obituary

GENEVA - David E. Fagan, 67, went Home to be with his Lord on Wednesday (Sept. 2, 2015), after a lengthy illness. God evidenced His supportive and caring grace each and every day. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456; Crosswinds Wesleyan Church, 3360 Middle Cheshire Rd., Canandaigua, NY 14424; or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

David Fagan was a neighbor and close friend of my cousin, Bob (Doc) Martin. Dave stopped in to check on Bob nearly every day to make sure that he was alright and to see if he needed anything. Bob was very fond of Dave and looked forward to his frequent visits. It was through Bob that my husband and I came to know Dave and his lovely wife, Linda. You both were always cheery and upbeat, and it was so comforting to know that you were there. Bob, Gary and I will miss you Dave, but rejoice that you are safe and whole again with your God.

I had the privilege 3 years ago to meet Dave through Dr. Robert Martin. Dave was his contractor, his neighbor and best friend. Dave continued to be a friend in May 2015 he again came to be a mentor for me answering any house construction questions on waterfront break walls, and take the time to just sit and talk. Dave was truly an angel sent to earth to help as many people as possible. Dave Fagan was not only a veteran in Vietnam, but Dave Fagan was the exceptional carpenter that built his home, built his own furniture and the loving husband of his wonderful wife, Linda. I will miss Dave Fagan.
