Terrence Miltner Obituary

DOVER - Terrence "Terry" W. Miltner, Sr., gently and peacefully passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Watson Fields in Dover, N.H. He was born in Mamaroneck, New York, on February 15, 1923.

Terry was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 plus years, Thelma (Gloria) Miltner who passed away on November 17, 2011. Together, Terry and Gloria raised their three children, Gloria Brzycki (husband Robert), Susan Krane (husband Joel), and Terry Jr. (wife Susan) and also have seven grandchildren, Robert Wheeler (wife Meme), Thomas Krane (wife Angela), Jonathan Krane, Jennifer Eddy (husband Aaron), Terrence Miltner III, Eric Miltner, Cassandra Miltner and Kimberly Hasham (husband Alex); along with six great-grandchildren, Emma Wheeler, Helen Wheeler, Dylan Eddy, Collin Eddy, Olivia Hasham, and Zoe Hasham.

Terry Sr. served his country for 23 years beginning as an Army Combat Paratrooper in World War II training soldiers that were serving under Chiang Kai-shek in China. After being discharged from the Army, he met the love of his life and married Gloria. Shortly thereafter, he joined the Air Force and upon completing Officer Candidate School was commissioned as an Air Police Lieutenant. His career took him and his family to numerous assignments throughout the world and in 1964 he retired from the Air Force as a Major and the Provost Marshall at Pease AFB, N.H. He then went on to a career in health care as a Director and Vice President of Environmental Services at Wentworth-Douglass and Frisbie Memorial Hospitals.

Terry was an avid golf enthusiast and a treasured life-time member of Cochecho Country Club. His true passion in life revolved around his beloved wife Gloria, his family, his many friends, and in making himself available to virtually anyone in need. We're all in agreement that the minute he joins Gloria in Gods' Heavenly Home, they'll be "boogying" to "LeRoy Brown". Our "Pops" will always be loved and never forgotten. Rest in peace Pop, and when you join Nana, give her a big hug and kiss from all of us.

SERVICES: There will be a Memorial Service for Pops and Nana at Pine Hill Cemetery on May 11, 2018 at 3 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tasker Funeral Home. Please go to www.taskerfh.com to sign the online guestbook.
