R. David Iovanna

SOUTH BERWICK, MAINE - Ralph David Iovanna "Dave", 62 of South Berwick Maine, died unexpectedly Monday Oct 7th at Dover. The son of Armand Iovanna& Virginia Dodge. He was raised in Revere Mass prior to entering the Air Force for 21+ years. "Dave" was a proud Patriot, & career U.S.A.F., Vietnam veteran, and New England USAF Recruiter. Stars and Stripes was Dave. He loved his country. Among his hobbies and passions he enjoyed wildlife, camping, fishing and his lawn. As a lifetime natural body builder he embraced the sport and encouraged many others with his enthusiasm & spark in and out of the gym. A devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 31 yrs' Kris, son Adam Iovanna & wife Christina. Daughter Tanya Iovanna, a son David A., a daughter Judy, eight grandchildren, Lucy Grace, Paris A., Tiarra, Salvatore, Naeve, David, Justice, & Janeliz; his mother, Virginia; three sisters Barbara Bencale, Janet Tuton& Helen Feldmen, & brother Arthur Iovanna, a cousin Michael Iovanna and many dear nephews, nieces and cousins, and extended family; dearest friends, Merlene & Lee Fortin, Louis Cascetta, Cheryl Carlino, Janet Vincent, Larry Schoff, & his beloved dogs.

A private interment will be held at a later date. Assistance provided by Tasker Funeral Service of Dover.

Iovanna Family: Working with Sgt Iovanna was always a pleasure. I worked with him at the Portsmouth, NH AF Recruiting Squadron and he was always so full of life and love for his family and country. So sorry for your loss. We have lost a true patriot.

To the Iovanna family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at your time of sorrow. For the short time of my life that I knew Dave, he brought countless smiles and laughs to everyone in his presence. He was the best! God bless.
