Gaffney, SC - Joseph Eric Trusty Murphy, 29, of 156 Eastview Drive, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of James Murphy and Lisa Trusty Murphy of Gaffney. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, formerly worked in an upholstery shop, loved kickboxing, and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Scott Murphy of Gaffney and Bo Murphy (Lisa) of Seneca; four sisters, Jessica Meadows (Ronnie) of Gaffney, Jamie Kelly (Brent) of Westminster, Kelly Bailey of Blacksburg and Patricia Simpson (Eric) of Liberty; maternal grandmother, Rita Jarvis of Gaffney; paternal grandmother Betty Pound of Seneca; fourteen nieces and nephews; a special friend, Nikki Sprouse and stepson, Mason Sprouse.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Oakland Cemetery with Reverend Joel Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Social distancing and masks are requested.
The family will be at the residence.
