I just found the obit notice on Google. My heart was indelibly touched by Jackie in 1969. She guided and accompanied me through my first teaching job at Webb Jr.High, the Vietnam war, law school and T-M(meditation). That was 45 years ago and the feeling is barely diminished.
RIP

I left a message for her the other day - when she didn't get back to me, I took a deep breathe to search here, disappointed and sad but not really surprised to find her notice here. If Emerson had the right of it, that to be a success is to leave the world a bit better, then she truly was in so many ways. I feel blessed not only to have known her, but to have had one last chance this year to see her. Indeed, I will have to plant a Jacqueline flower, though I really don't need a thing to remind me of her. For her family, I send my sincerest condolences.

In the morning sky today
was a rainbow.
What a beautiful
gift to remember the life
of a most dear friend
Jacqueline Whitmore
on this day of
her celebration of life.
I am so sad not to be able
to be able there this day among
her loving family and friends.
But I am happy to have
known her love and kindness.
Jacqueline taught me to
see the real magic of
life. This rainbow sent
today just for Jacqueline
is living proof.
I love you Jacqueline!

Dr. J., as I called, her was More than my friend, she was my touchstone to life. Always did I know that she had the genuine spirit of the American pioneer. Upon completeing her Family History, I now realize why I felt this for she was the Grandaughter 8 times removed of Squire Boone who was the father of her grandfather Edward and the father of Daniel Boone as well. The Boone boys married sisters and that makes it even more special---just a she is to me.

Jacqueline was the best, a special blessing in my life, a beautiful spirit, so kind, unselfishly sharing her time and considerable genius. She modeled wisdom and the unwavering practice of unconditional positive regard. Jacqueline was devoted to her family and touched the lives of many people in amazing ways. Her joy was infectious, I will miss her presence on this earth very much.

Words cannot express the magnitude of love that was inside Jacqueline. I had the privilege of knowing her for the last 12 years and in those years she never stopped giving. Giving of herself, her knowledge and love. This world is a darker place without her.

Jacqueline was a beautiful person, a generous friend, and a gracious neighbor. I always loved when she stopped to talk when she saw me while driving down our street on her way home. I will greatly miss her. My heart is with her children and grandchildren - who she spoke of with joy on a regular basis - and all those who loved her. I am sure her spirit is ecstatic wherever it is now, even though she clearly cherished life here on earth, too. May all the blessings of the universe be yours, Jacqueline! With love,
