Roberto Mireles Obituary
He was born Jan. 1, 1935 in Los Ebanos, Texas, and lived in Savannah, Ga., for the past three years. Roberto proudly served in the United States Air Force for 23 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 243 in Bessemer City for many years.
Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Mireles Riemann, his former wife and dear friend Joyce Mireles, sister, Irene Garcia, his son-in-law David Riemann, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Roberto will be taken home to Los Ebanos, where a graveside service is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18.

Beto Mireles ,que primos tan guapos teníamos a sus 18 años y vestidos de militar eran unos modelos . Como cabíamos tanta gente en casa de Mama Lalita ?. Que bonitos tiempos pero se nos han ido adelantando y preparándonos el camino.Tuve la oportunidad después de nueve años de hablar con Beto no recuerdo exactamente si fue el Lunes o el Martes y el Miércoles falleció ,no lo podía creer ?.Descansa en Paz, y a mi Nena Mireles un fuerte abrazo

I, for one, know that for certain that we never lose the ones we love, even to death. They continue to participate in our lives in every way and acts,thoughts and decisions we make. My Uncle Robert's loves leaves an indelible imprint in all our memories. I, for one again, find comfort that our lives have been enriched by having shared not only his love, but his friendship, laughters, and many new friends I met when I visited with him in Bessemer City, N.C.calling me Richard. My Uncle Mo' is with me, ALIVE!... Always and never to be forgotten but always to be relived on family gatherings. Uncle Mo' truly was like a second Father to me, well respected and loved. RIP Tio Beto!
