Kathryn Johnston Obituary

Kathryn Johnston, 65, of Northampton unexpectedly passed away after an illness on Sunday, November 18, 2018.

Kathy was born to Mary and Philip Johnston of Delmar, N.Y. Besides her parents, she leaves her daughter and granddaughter, Adia and A'nylah Johnston and her son, Akeen Johnston all of Northampton. She also leaves her siblings; Laurie Schimmelfing (Reed) of Northampton, David Johnston (Linda) of Houston, TX and Douglas Johnston (Susan) of Syracuse, NY. She also had several nieces and nephews who adored her.

She was a kind, strong woman who loved her family. Although family always came first, Kathy was very welcoming and giving with her close circle of friends. In addition, the many students she transported on her bus routes and their families shared a special place in her heart. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and others whose lives she touched.

A ceremony of her life will be celebrated in the new year. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to an education fund for A'nylah at Easthampton Savings Bank or to a charity of your choice.
