Nathan Carson Obituary
May 2, 1979 - August 11, 2018
Nathan Bryan Charles Carson, was born November 2, 1979, and passed away August 11, 2018.
He leaves behind his loving mother, sister, and father.
He graduated from Highlands Ranch High School in 1998. After several years of adventures, including two years in Alaska as a commercial fisherman and a move to LA to pursue a music career, Nathan returned to Grand Junction, CO to earn a degree in Graphic Design from Mesa State College (Colorado Mesa University). Following his graduation in 2008, Nathan worked for a newspaper conglomerate in Denver, CO.
He became gravely ill in 2012, and was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. He recorded his struggle with Crohn's in a three volume memoir. Nathan moved to NYC from November of 2014 to August 2017 and did freelance graphic design as well as starting his final artistic endeavor as "Street Art Hustle." With worsening health, he spent his final months with his mother in her Grand Junction home. He was a poet, novelist, painter, graphic designer, performance artist, musician, and a dedicated friend.
Services will be held at New Horizons Foursquare Church in Grand Junction, CO on August 22, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., with a lunch reception following. All are welcome.

In 2001, I had the honor of recording some songs with Nathan. He came and stayed with me in Seattle and we spent an entire week writing and recording songs. Just last week my mom mailed me a copy of two songs that we did together that I hadn't heard since 2002.
I know there are some people out there that would love to hear this and I would love to get a copy to those who would like to hear it.
It's brilliant...(of course...Nathan wrote it!)
Reach out to me if you would like me to send you a copy. There's a very good chance that hardly anyone has heard these recordings.
I miss him dearly... I think about him daily.

Nathan Katch was such a talented man. Many of us enjoyed our time with him via Periscope. We watched him paint, sing, talk to us. He was so talented and intelligent. He is sorely missed by the many he touch throughout his journey. May the memories of his beautiful soul touch you and heal you all. I'm so glad I have a piece of his art to forever remember him by!

Ill Never forget my time spent with this man in Alaska...so fun...could never hold back a smile with Nathan around....we wrote some songs together and recorded one....love you bro
