I will remember Paul fondly for his independent nature and strong worth ethic - a legacy that lives on in his sons. He so loved his grand kids and even patiently humored our son, Lucas feigning amazement at his magic tricks. But it's his sharp wit and storytelling that will make me smile whenever I think of him. Dear Paul, may you rest in peace.

I'm very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I had the privilege to spend an afternoon with him at his house in late June 2014 along with numerous other Wimmer relatives.
It was a very fun event, and I really enjoyed listening to the stories that Paul had told about our great grandfather Mike as well as other stories about the Wimmer great uncles.
I was so glad that he agreed to host us. My first impression of him was a goofy pun joke that caused my daughter and I to look at each other and think "There's the Wimmer sense of humor".
Again condolences to the Wimmer family.

You weren't just my grandpa, but also my hero. I'll never forget all the pranks you used to pull on me. Mikey and I love you dearly. Please watch over us with Grandma and give her a big hug.
