Florence sends her sympathy to Phyllis and family. She enjoyed all the times she shared with Doug at the table during meal time.
Her favorite story was when he said-"there are some many old people here, i feel out of place! How about you Florence!"
He was a wonderful, sweet and kind man.
Bless his heart!
I send my sincerest Sympathy to you Phyllis!

My condolences to the family of a true gentleman and gifted writer. I grew up reading Doug's Dugout in the Advocate and worked under his direction at the Press-Gazette. He made a wonderful mark on Wisconsin journalism. Thanks for sharing him.

Although a quiet presence, he never failed to send the message of love. Rest peacefully.
