Russell Gary Seaborn, 66, husband of Barbara Rogers Seaborn, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Charles and Mildred O'Shields Seaborn.

Mr. Seaborn graduated from Carolina High School, Class of 1965 and served in the Army. He retired from a long career in plumbing and roofing. He was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church. He was a member of Brandon Masonic Lodge #279.

He enjoyed Daytona Beach, NASCAR, Clemson football, and Helen, GA. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 42 years, are his daughter, Lindsay Aycock and husband Will, of Birmingham, AL; sister, Patricia Seaborn; two brothers, Mike Seaborn and wife Elise and Bob Seaborn and wife Charlene; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with The Reverend Dr. Marshall Sargent officiating. Visitation will follow until 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.

Our family would like to express our gratitude to our amazing doctors, nurses, and caregivers who have been on this journey with us.

Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680; GHS Children's Hospital, 701 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
