Ann Jordan Obituary

Ann Moore Jordan, 70, of Black Point Beach, Niantic passed away on Monday December 21. She was born August 16, 1950 in Hartford, the daughter of Robert C and Anne H Jordan. Ann was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy, Our Lady of The Elms College and Central Connecticut College where she received a Master Degree in Education. Ann pursued her career as a Reading Specialist in Salisbury Connecticut. Ann was an avid photographer specializing in landscapes for which she received awards. She was the photographer for the Black Point Women's Club for many years. Ann's real love was taking pictures of her nieces and nephews. Ann was a kind and gentle soul who loved her family and working with children. She is survived by her brother Patrick Jordan (Dorothy) of Raleigh NC, her very special and beloved sister Roberta Jordan (William Dalrymple), nieces and nephews; Erin Tanski, Robert Jordan (Liz) Lauren Hanan (Justin),Amanda Paragios ( Jim), Amy Stone Scannell and Richard Stone as well as grand nieces and nephews ; Victoria & Alexis Tanski, Rowan & Isabel Jordan, Graham & Mazie Hanan, Ayela Paragios, Ben and Cole Scannell. Ann was predeceased by her sister Maribeth Stone. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Bayview Healthcare for their care, time and dedication to Ann. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to East Lyme Scholarship Association, Inc, PO Box 190 Niantic, CT 06357. (Please include Jordan/Stone). The Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

My deepest condolences on the passing of Ann. We were in Brownies and Girl Scouts at Valley Crest School. Corpus Christi CCD, MSJA. Ann was always a kind person. She and Maribeth were inseparable. Good to know Ann had her family to meet her. In my prayers Ann.
