May Lassy Obituary

May R. (Anderson) Lassy, 88, of Bristol, widow of Carl O. Lassy, died on Wednesday (August 13, 2003) at Bristol Hospital. Mrs. Lassy was born in Bristol on March 31, 1915 and was a daughter of the late Andrew and Jenny (Bengston) Anderson. She has lived in Sweden and Plainville before returning to Bristol where she worked in the family business, Lassy Tools, Inc. She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Forestville. Mrs. Lassy is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Ginger Lassy of Los Angeles, CA and Bristol, and William and Grace Lassy of Forestville; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Gail and Joseph Sjogren of Burlington, Joyce and Joseph Toohey of Lambertville, NJ, and Karen and Steven Bazemore of New Port Richey, FL; a brother, John E. Anderson; 11 grandchildren, Marc and David Lassy, Kirsten Jones of Bristol; Carter and Adam Lassy of California, Inger Sjogren of Weston, Erik Sjogren of Georgia, Kurt Sjogren of Texas, Ryan Bazemore and Jennifer Johnson of Florida, and Christopher Benecick of New Jersey; seven great grandchildren, Ashley, David, Kai, Kayla, Sophie, Tor, and Stephen; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, at 11 a.m. at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Bristol.
