LUCAS, Rosella Grimes Rosella Grimes Lucas, 84, of Hartford, passed on with her family by her side on Tuesday, (July 13, 2004). She was born on May 2, 1920 to the late James and Lillie Grimes and lived in Hartford all of her life. She went into marriage with the late Lude Lucas for 60 years and had three children. She is survived by a son, Duane Lucas of Hartford and predeceased by two daughters, Beverlee Lucas and Dyane Barlow; three sisters, Rosetta Lanier, Dorothy Hill and Beverly Huff all of Hartford; a brother, Samuel Grimes of Hartford; a son-in-law, Maurice Barlow of Hartford; two grandsons, Kyle Barlow of Hartford and Damon Lucas of New York; a godson, Jonathan Thomas of Hartford; three devoted friends, Manuel and Madeline Hogan and Berdie Bob ; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Calling hours are Monday from 10-11 a.m. with funeral service following at 11 a.m. at Clark, Bell & Bell Funeral Home, 319 Barbour St., Hartford. Burial will be in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
