George Howard Obituary
George E. Howard, 66, of Broad Brook passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016. He was born August 3, 1949 in Hartford, the son of Ernest and Ann (Hatheway) Howard. He loved cooking, the outdoors, his gardens, fishing and music. Besides his mother, he is survived by the love of his life, Linda Flaherty of Broad Brook; his children, Kevin Howard and his wife Aleana of SC, Laura Green and her husband Robert Jr. of Vernon, Daniel Leary of Broad Brook and Timothy Leary of NH; his sister, Lori Newcomb and her husband Aaron of ME;and his grandchildren, Trevor, Colin, Kaiden, Margaret, Ella, Jordan, Noah and Simon. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4:30-7:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville, CT 06066. Although I had lost touch with George in recent years. He will always be remembered for holiday time get togethers at his condo, great food, and a great vinyl record collection. I can still hear Van Morrison's Moondance spinning on his turntable. His kindness and joking manner was admired by all of us. Comfort to his family.

A wonderful, friendly and gracious individual. We have known George for almost 20 years. He was always warm and always filled the room with his smile.
