Anne Walsh Obituary

Anne Elizabeth Walsh, 90 of East Hartford, CT died the 4th of February 2019 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT after a short illness. Anne was born in Newport, Rhode Island to Anna and John Walsh. Anne is predeceased by her mother Anna Margaret Sullivan, her father John Joseph Walsh, sisters Louise Claire Walsh and Jan Marie Walsh Kropp and brother John Donaldson Walsh. Anne has one son, Jason Todd Walsh of Watertown, MA. Anne was a retired welder from General Dynamics. She was an active member of the National Federal of the Blind and the East Hartford Senior Center where she left many friends. Anne was a natural born self-taught artist whose home was filled with her beautiful artwork and an accomplished seamstress who sewed many of her own clothes. She loved to visit museums and read books and keep up on current affairs. Services will be held at a later date. The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Glastonbury has care of the arrangements. To extend condolences, please visit Farleysullivan.com. Although Anne endured many hardships in her life, she preserved through them with strength, courage and grace. Her friend Lori paid tribute to her; "Anne was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet, she opened her heart to others and she will be sorely missed."
