Thomas Grasso Obituary

Thomas J. Grasso, 74, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Carole (Erie) Grasso, died Tuesday (October 2, 2001) at home. Born Sept. 7, 1927 in New Britain, son of the late James and Concetta (Coco) Grasso he had lived in Glastonbury for the past 72 years. Prior to his retirement in 1992 he was a mail carrier for 30 years. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Besides his wife he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James D. and Diane Grasso of Glastonbury; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rita M. Banks of Glastonbury, Leah M. and Gregg Ciraldo of Hebron; a brother, Philip Grasso of Glastonbury; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Frank Pavano of New Britain; three grandchildren, Monica Banks, Lindsay Banks and Kaitlyn Banks; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a place and time to be announced. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of CT, 111 Founders Plaza, East Hartford 06108 or to the DeQuattro Community Cancer Center, 73 Haynes St., Manchester 06040. The Mulryan Funeral Home, Glastonbury has care of arrangements.
