Charles Rogalla Obituary

Charles "Chuck" M. Rogalla, 63, formerly of Suffield, died Saturday, (July 19, 2003). He was proud to be a farmer, but above all else he considered himself a conservationist. Chuck was the eldest son of Leokadia and Charles Rogalla, starting his life in Wethersfield and then moving to Suffield where the family had a farm on North Main Street for many years. He was the Environmental Consultant for the town of Suffield before moving to Missouri to further his agricultural life. Chuck had a great appreciation of nature and mans place on this earth and touched the lives of many people. He especially enjoyed working with young people, and was a 4-H leader in Suffield for many years. He may be remembered for collecting recyclables at the A&P lot in the 1970's before recycling was a household word. His parents predeceased him, his mother passing away on June 27, 2003. He is survived by his brother Frank of Ellington, his wife Sibylle and their children Julianna, Alethea, and Tedd and their spouses; brother, John of Everton, MO; sister Mary Anne of Danbury and her husband Joseph; sister, Christine (Tina) and her husband Robert of Durham. He leaves grandnieces and nephews, Ariana, Karl and Alexander. A memorial service will be held at a later date; in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Chuck's memory to a fund he wanted named "Take Care of Yourself, and Be Good to Others" c/o Julianna Rogalla, 20 Birge Ave, Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
