Trish Rogalla Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by DuBore Funeral Home - Warren on Nov. 12, 2025.
Trish Rogalla, 55, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away peacefully on hospice, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, with the two most important men in her life by her side.
Patricia Ann Rogalla was born on October 18, 1970, the daughter of LaVerne and Rebecca Ann (Martin) Rogalla. Growing up on the farm in Oslo, MN, she attended Alvarado-Oslo schools, graduating in 1989. Despite having strong roots at home, Trish was a gypsy at heart: she loved traveling, meeting new people, and seeing what fate had in store. After a year in college in Fargo, Trish found that working in sales could support her while letting her see the country. The next years were a whirlwind of making new friends wherever she went, including longer stays in Minneapolis, MN, and Grand Rapids, MI. Her desire to "hustle" never prevented her from making lifelong connections (that never broke!) with people along the way. From practicing therapeutic healing in Rugby, ND, to co-owning the Rusty Bumblebee taphouse in Blaine, MN, Trish poured herself out in whatever she did: all with a smile and that special brand of positivity that only she possessed.
A decade ago, Trish decided to move closer to her family with the desire to take care of her grandma, Betty Martin. And while she might have "wandered" less, she also found a soulmate. Trish and Dan Kostad would make their lives together in Grand Forks, Dan being her "anchor," her best friend, her dancing partner, and concert date. Their home had a garden out back and a front porch she decorated for each season and holiday (Christmas and Easter being her favorites). And while they never married, Dan received LaVerne's blessing; he proved his steadfastness. When the glioblastoma brain tumor changed their lives, Trish's response was "It'll be okay." Her faith informed this belief and her bright smile showed it. Her last good day was spent positively beaming at Dan and LaVerne, her face lighting up the same way her friends and family will long remember.
She is survived by Dan Kostad, her love until the end; parents, LaVerne (Becky) Rogalla; step-siblings, Marc Merrill and Kristine Chandler; nieces and nephew, Ava, Victoria, and Reed Chandler; godmother, Jane Rogalla; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Ann; brother, Lewis Rogalla; grandparents, Betty & Casper Martin, and Sarah & Florian Rogalla; and godfather, Earl Rogalla.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in Living Word Family Church, Grand Forks, ND.
