James KLECZKOWSKI Obituary

KLECZKOWSKI, James Paul

James (Jim) Paul Kleczkowski, 44, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 1, from a broken heart. His beloved wife, Elizabeth (Long) Kleczkowski passed away three days earlier on Saturday, October 29 after a brief illness. He was born on April 15, 1967, the son of John and Claudette Kleczkowski of Rockfall, CT. He leaves behind a much adored son, Sean Kleczkowski, of South Windsor. Jim was a graduate of Coginchaug Regional High School and of the University of New Haven and worked in the hospitality, and most recently in the temporary recruitment field. Besides his parents, Jim is survived by his cherished siblings and their families; Celia Peacock and her husband Grant (Conor, Maggie and Elena Hayes) of Garrett Park MD, Justine Couvares (Ryan Lancia) of Windsor Locks and Middletown, and John Kleczkowski and his wife Dana (JT, Brian, and Julia) of North Attelboro, MA. He also leaves Shannon Gibbons, of Windsor, his wife from a previous marriage. He leaves many grieving uncles, especially Uncle Al and Ted of Rockfall, aunts, cousins, and dear friends. Jim's most admired traits were his devotion to family and friends, and his keen sense of humor. Never without a joke, Jim was known for his cheery disposition, infectious laugh, generosity, positive attitude and love of life. However, as his best friend, wife, and soul mate Beth became ill and died, so did Jim.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday (Nov. 5th) at 1 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of his family. Friends may visit with his family on Saturday from 11 to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road Newington CT 06111. Having moved back to CT 6mos ago from FL, I was not aware of Jim's passing until today. I remember Jim so fondly for his warm personality and sense of humor, having worked with his sister Celia for years. My heart goes out to Celia and Jim's entire family. Celia... I am currently staying with my parents and hope we can connect soon and chat.
Love you and you are all in my heart and prayers.

I have thought of Jim many times over the last 26 years. My memories always included our little league years, drum corps, school days, band, back yard play and friday/saturday nights. We were always the best of friends growing up, but lost touch with each other over the years. "Remember the moon" Jimmy, you will be missed. My prayers, thoughts and love are with the entire Kleczkowski family.

My memories of Jim almost always include him smiling or laughing and joking around. If asked, I would describe Jim as the guy who always brought levity to any situation. He also served as the finest "doorman" at one of the "After-Thanks" semi-formal parties I hosted - way back during high school. My heartfelt sympathy to Jim's immediate and extended families at this most difficult time.
