Royal HADFIELD Obituary



HADFIELD, JR., Royal

Royal "Rod" Hadfield Jr., 68, of Douville, France, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2013 in France. Born in New Britain, Rod was a former resident of South Deerfield, MA and Florida before moving to France four years ago. Rod was a graduate of Berlin High School, class of 1962 and was a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as and was an accomplished carpenter, artist and farmer. Rod really loved traveling around Europe on his Harley with friends. Rod is survived by his wife, Nicole (Bini) Hadfield of France; two sons, Tyrone Hadfield and his wife Kimberley of Greenfield, MA; and Christian Hadfield and his wife Jessica of Florence, MA; one daughter, Angelica Trenholm of Holyoke, MA; one brother, Robert Hadfield and his wife Elizabeth of New Britain; five grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews.
A funeral for Rod was held in Mussidan, France. A memorial service, in Rod's memory, will be here in the United States at a later date and will be planned by his family. Please share a memory of Rod with his family at www.carlsonfuneralhome.com.
