Kevin Hadfield Obituary

Beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend Kevin Lyal Hadfield returned to his loving Heavenly Father on December 8, 2025. He was 74 years old. Kevin was born on August 25, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Raymond and Sylvia Hadfield. After living a short time in Arizona Kevin spent most of his formidable years in Kaysville. Kevin had a great love for the arts and excelled at Davis High School playing in the orchestra and working on the stage crew for several productions. After graduating, Kevin served a two year mission in Ohio and loved talking about his experiences and love for those people. Kevin's faith in his Savior Jesus Christ was unwavering and he spent a lifetime in service through several callings including one of his personal favorites, ward chorister and choir director. Following his mission Kevin found the love of his life in Jeanette King, they were married June 7, 1974 and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Kevin had a great love for his family and loved to spend as much time as possible with them. Along with his children and grandkids, his family included his dog Olaf and cat Leo that loved every minute of affection he gave them. Dad loved going up in the mountains camping and you would be hard pressed to find anyone better at backing a trailer into a tight spot. Kevin also loved going on cruises, he visited several different islands, and buffets along the way. One of the great things about Kevin was how friendly he was. He loved to talk and meet new people everywhere he went. Kevin had a great work ethic and a willingness to help anyone in need. Kevin used these traits while working several jobs including at Thiokol and later in life he used his gift of gab as a cashier at Walmart. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Holly. Kevin is survived by his wife Jeanette, son Brandon (Denise) Hadfield, daughter Michelle (Robyn) Merrill, and daughter Stephanie (Scott) Holley. Grandkids Kaleb, Megan, Paige, Lily, Tristen, Ericka (Drake), Hannah, Whitney, and Reese. We love you Kevin, we will miss your smile and chuckle. Until we meet again.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 6-8 pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 2 PM at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
