Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home - TremontonIla Aiko Yamada Okada, 100, passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2026. She was born April 26, 1925, in Syracuse, Utah to Suzuki Imada and Shinichi Yamada. She graduated from Davis High School in 1943. She married Beb Okada March 11, 1950, and was with him for 67 years until his death.
Ila worked hard all her life starting on her family's farm and then on the Okada Brothers' Farm. She was an excellent seamstress & cook and was active in 4-H as teacher & leader for numerous years. She was a faithful member of the Honeyville Buddhist Temple and served in many positions there.
She is survived by her daughters Trudy Kamisato, Connie (Phillip) Sakashita, son Craig, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and sister-in-laws Marye Okada and Joanne Okada.
Ila was preceded in death by her husband; her son Byron; her parents; brothers Sadamu, Teruo, Tomio, Masaru; sister Misuko and son-in-law Ryan Kamisato.
Funeral services for Ila will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11 AM at the Honeyville Buddhist Temple (3945 W. 6900 N., Honeyville, Utah). Viewings will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 6-8 PM at the Rudd Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, Utah) and prior to the service at the Honeyville Buddhist Temple from 10:00-10:45 AM. Her interment will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed below.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all their family, friends and neighbors for their loving support, friendship and concern. We would also like to thank the health care workers from Ability Home Health & Hospice for their compassionate care.
