Mary Summers Obituary

Visit the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home - Tremonton website to view the full obituary.

Mary Abigail Marble Summers, 76, passed away on March 13, 2026, of complications associated with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born to Henry L. Marble and Arthila Anderson Marble on August 21, 1949, in Tremonton and grew up on the family farm in Deweyville. Mary went to school in Deweyville, Bear River High and graduated from Weber State with an Associates Degree in secretarial work. She worked as a legal secretary for nearly 20 years.

Mary loved camping, being outdoors, baby animals and helping her brother with farm work. In her younger years she played softball, racquetball, and bowled on a league in Tremonton. She began making quilts and receiving blankets during Covid and donated over 100 blankets to Humanitarian Aid.

She married Reed Summers in the Logan, Utah Temple on March 3, 1987, and became an instant step-mother to his 5 children. Together they moved back to Tremonton in 1992. Mary had worked at the Senior Center in Tremonton since 2007 delivering Meals on Wheels and leading a Mobility Exercise Class. She enjoyed the many Senior Citizen friendships she made in Tremonton over the years (eventually becoming older than many she served.)

Mary served as a Service Missionary at the Brigham City Temple for 12 years. She loved the many people she associated with there. She had also served as a Stake Primary Secretary, Ward Relief Society President, Counselor in the Relief Society, Young Womens and Primary. She served in the Cub Scouts and Girls Activity Days.

Mary is survived by her husband, Reed A. Summers, children, Neil, Trent, Joy (Zac) Yates, Nolan, Matt (Suzy), 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Beva Jean Marble and a sister-in-law, Janet Marble. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Mae M Evans, brother Steven H. Marble, and one grandson, Nicholas Reed Summers.

There will be a viewing held Sunday March 22, 2026, from 5 pm-7 pm. at Rudd Funeral Home-Tremonton, 111 North 100 East Tremonton. There will also be a viewing on Monday March 23, 2026, from 10:30 am-11:30 am at the Tremonton West Stake Center 345 South 1000 West Tremonton, Utah. Funeral Services will be held at Noon.
