Louis Rio Obituary
Louis "Lou" William Rio, 59, of New Britain, passed away at home on June 7, 2014 with the love of his life, his wife, Gail Pizzaferrato-Rio by his side. Lou was born on November 9, 1954, son of the late Agnes (Milewski) and Louis P. Rio. Lou was a giving person, he took charge of caring for his parents, a labor of love. He loved to ride his Harley, and found a perfect place to cruise the open road, Bisbee, AZ, where he had many friends and was ready to settle. He was an epic aficionado of avant-garde music. Lou loved and will be dearly missed by his children, Gabriel, Nikki and Marla; his grandchildren Gabriel, Carmine and Stella who held a special place in his great heart. Lou also leaves his sisters, Darlene Napoletano and her husband Sean Dudley , Dolores Sherwill and her husband Eugene and a brother Sam Rio and his wife Laurie. He will be missed by all who's hearts he touched. A graveside service will be Wednesday, June 11, at 11:00 am in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1309 Stanley St., New Britain. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pathways Senderos Center, 43 Viets St., New Britain, CT 06053. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com.

To the Rio Family, Growing up in this family was special to all of us. I remember the laughs, picnics, Christmas Eve's, beach days with the whole Milewski family every Sunday at Megs Point! Cousin Louie we will always remember your laugh and the funny antics we had together growing up. You are with mom and dad now, and in our hearts! Keep smiling cousin!
