William Dumas Obituary
William R. Dumas Jr. 67 of Chicopee MA. died on June 18, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA. Born in Hartford, CT., son of the late William Sr. and Beatrice (Elliott) Dumas. He was a 1967 graduate of Rockville H.S. and alumnus of the University of Hartford and Oglethorpe University. William was a member of the Boy Scouts achieving the level of Eagle Scout and was active in the organization for many years. He was also the manger for several high school sports teams. William was the beloved husband of the late Deborah (Moore) Dumas, who predeceased him in 2012, a devoted step-father to Jillian Marie Sauro, who predeceased him in 2015; and leaves his brother George Dumas, of Rockville, CT.; grandson Bryan Haselkorn; brother-in-law Wayne Moore, of Three Rivers, MA; and many loving extended family members and friends. Family burial will be at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in William's memory to the Cancer charity of one's choice.

Remember Bill from Troop 92 and his Dad too. Many great memories of scout camp at Lake Of Isles and all the good times in Rockville. George and family, my condolences, very sorry for your loss.

Bill was one of the "Fox Hill Drive" guys when we were kids long ago. We shared lots of laughs from childhood escapades. A good kid, a great gentleman. Thanks for the memories.
