SISK, Robert J. Robert J. Sisk, 75, of Greenwich, died of cancer on Sunday, (August 8, 2004) at Greenwich Hospital. Mr. Sisk was the retired chairman of Hughes Hubbard and Reed, a law firm in New York City. Born November 8, 1928, he was a son of the late David and Pearl Sisk. Mr. Sisk was raised in Hartford and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1950. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Upon his return, he continued his education at Yale Law School. After graduating from Yale in 1956, Mr. Sisk joined Hughes Hubbard and Reed. He was promoted through the firm and became chairman in 1989 until his retirement in 1999. Mr. Sisk enjoyed sailing and made a trans-Atlantic voyage two years ago with his boat, Chance. He was honored for his accomplishment with a Blue Water Trophy from the Riverside Yacht Club, of which he was a member. He also was a member of the Round Hill Club and Century Association in New York City. He sat on the boards of several large corporations, including Allied Artists Pictures Corp. Mr. Sisk is survived by his wife, Sandra Sisk of Greenwich; three daughters, Julie and Laura Sisk both of Los Angeles, CA and Kathryn Tucker of Seattle, WA; three sons, Robert Sisk, Jr., of Boulder, CO, Philip Sisk of Los Angeles, CA and John Sisk of Yonkers, NY; a stepson, Howard Clark, III, of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Alvin and Sidney Sisk both of West Hartford; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 23, 1:30 p.m. at the Sisk home in Greenwich.
