I realize this is 22 years late, but...I just discovered this very sad news. I was going through some old papers and discovered correspondents I had with Lise, we were pen pals back in the early 1980's, kids, I was in New Jersey, and she was in Toronto...back then, Toronto seemed like worlds away and I was fascinated to hear all about it. We would write letters, and sometimes record cassette tapes...it was so much fun. It's extremely sad when you discover something from your past, and get excited about maybe re-establishing and old friendship, and find your friend's story has come to an end. It sounds like she had a lovely life, with many loved ones. If anyone ever reads this, please accept my most sincere condolences.
