Ed and I loved you as a friend and doctor. You dedication to your patients was comforting and very knowledgeable in your field. Your friendship will be dearly missed along with the many songs you played at our parties and poetry you shared. God sped our friend, rest in peace.

Dr Pennebaker was very special. He helped me deal with RA when I was first diagnosed. I have since moved to Birmingham AL where he referred me to an excellent physician. I owe a lot to Dr Pennebaker and pray his family knows how very special he was to his patients.
Much love to you all

Although we have never met Dr. Pennebaker personally, Linda and I knew him through his lovely daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. We know enough about him to say he was truly blessed with a wonderful family. Our prayers are with his loved ones.

My condolences to the family.
Dr. Pennebaker was my rheumatologist at Hattiesburg Clinic for 25+ years. He was always very caring and willing to do what he could do to ease your pain. He will be remembered as
as such.
I worked side by side with Dr. Pennebaker as his clinic Nurse for some 15 years. He was truly a caring physician about each and every patient!

I was so saddened to learn of Jim's passing. We have been friends since I worked for him as his office manager/secretary beginning in 1978. He was one of the kindest, most unselfish persons that I have ever known. He always had a smile for everyone. I have told him many times that I owed my career as a pharmaceutical representative to him because of how much he taught me about rheumatology. He was an excellent physician and a remarkable diagnostician. Before he ever touched his patients, he had the uncanny ability to know what was wrong. We have stayed in touch for all of these years and I always looked forward to our visits. I last spoke with him just before he entered the hospital and will always cherish the last words I heard him say, "bye sweetie. I love you!" Jim I will miss you always and hope to hear you play your guitar once again. Bye sweetie. I love you, too.
