Alfred H. Blake

BLAKE, ALFRED H., 86, of Coral Gables, Florida, passed away January 21, 2013. He was born September 30,1926 in Savannah, Georgia. A World War II Veteran, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Was the Metropolitan Dade County Tax Assessor for ten years from 1970 to 1980. Prior to becoming Tax Assessor, he worked for the Dade County Port Authority, was Chief Dade County Auditor and Dade County Tax Collector. Upon his retirement after 34 years of service with Dade County, he went into private practice as a real estate tax consultant under the business name of Tax Adjustment Experts. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Betty M. Blake, five children, three grand-children and five great grand-children. No services are to be held.
